Girls Day at Mary Poppins

Madi, her best friend and the two moms recently spent the day doing girly things. First, the girls wore matching outfits and brought their American Girl dolls. We went to the AG store where they had their dolls' ears pierced. Next, we had a delicious lunch at a place with white tablecloths and cool Bento boxes. After that we went to see Mary Poppins the musical. It was a wonderful day!

Cuddles's visit and Easter

Our weekend began with Family Movie Night. We watched Bolt and ate popcorn. Saturday, Madi and I went to Denver for a girls day with her best friend and her friend's mom. We went to the American Girl store and got Chrissa's (her doll) ears pierced. Then, we had lunch together and took in a musical, Mary Poppins. It was delightful! While we were in Denver, the boys (+Cuddles) went to a movie together and grilled burgers. Later that night we dyed Easter eggs.

The kids' baskets plus notes written to the Easter bunny from Jack and Madi.

Easter morning came very early and began with a full-out hunt for the baskets which the Easter bunny had filled and hidden during the night.

Cuddles's basket was the first one found.

Then, everyone got to inspect their treats and eat one. (followed not too much later by an enormous rush of sugar-fueled energy). We had a wonderful breakfast and read a little from Matthew about the Resurrection of Jesus.

Check out Chrissa's earrings...

We had a nice Easter lunch together.

Then, we had an Easter egg hunt. Right beforehand Drew asks me "What is an egg hunt?" Witha little explaining he caught on and was even able to identify his eggs by the "D" in his name and found most of Madi's for her as well. So much fun!

Cuddles
Jack's kindergarten class mascot, Cuddles, came home for the weekend the Friday before Easter. Jack had been hoping for it for a very long time and proclaimed it, "A Miracle!" He also said that Cuddles must've been hoping for it, too. They shared lunch together, cuddled at bedtime, got warm sitting over the heater vent, went to a movie together, dyed Easter eggs together and Cuddles even got an Easter basket, too!

Homemade Mariokart Undies

A desperate mom will do just about anything...I made homemade Mariokart themed undies to "inspire" Drew to a new level of potty training. So far so good...

Spring Break Fun

Spring Break was a blast!

We kicked it off with a trip to Mr. Biggs (indoor go karts, bounce houses, mini golf, etc...).

We went roller skating (but have no pictures of that event b/c we were all a little shaky on skates). Jack learned to ride his skateboard.

We went bowling...

We tried on our gear for our upcoming ski/snowboard trip. Jack was beside himself he was so excited!

We built a snowman...

We went tubing...

Madi and Jack got to drive snowscoots...

Jack got to take a snowboarding lesson, while Andy and Madi skiied. Drew and I had a lunch date and watched a movie in the car together.

Drew was playing around and refusing to open his eyes for the picture.

Madilyn skiing...she's in the pink.
Jack snowboarding after 1 lesson... trying a litte jump!

Drew's favorite thing at Keystone...

A little skiing and snowboarding in the backyard before we have to return the gear.
