Destination Imagination Tournament Day

March 6th was Destination Imagination Tournament Day for Madi and Jack's teams. We were all very ready for the big day!

Yet more DI prep...

More layers of Paper mache' and some priming and brown paint for our box that served double purpose as a steamer trunk (to carry in our props) and as the lifeboat when the Titanic sinks during our skit portion.

A costume dress made from curtains purchased at Goodwill.

A week later...after mod podging the entire ship (it's in two pieces so it could break and sink during the skit)...it was time to paint it.

It's done!

More DI prep...

The team had to have a box of a certain size, with a lid, etc... So, I cut down a dryer box and rebuilt it was screws and "L" brackets. It was quite a project!

Madi begins working on the paper mache' Titanic for DI

Madilyn was on a Destination Imagination team for her school. She created a ratehr large paper mache' Titanic as a side trip for her team's solution. Below are pictures from her first day of the project (which took almost a month).
