Madi has the beginning of a gap...

Today was the 13th turn of the key in the mouth expander. We've been watching everyday for a space to start between the front teeth. This morning it was not there. Today when I picked her up from school...the tiniest gap had begun. We need that space (it needs to get a little bigger) in order to move on to the braces phase. Here is a pic...
The tooth on the left of the front teeth in the pic is the problem (cross-bite) tooth. See how it touches and crosses the bite path of the lower row of teeth...

Boy's Halloween Costumes

Saturday morning I drove to Denver to stake out the first spot in line at the kid's resale shop where Halloween costumes were being put on sale. The mission was a success. After several hours in line, a few cups of coffee and a lot of quiet reading time...I got the exact costumes that Jack and Drew had hoped for. Look at these two very happy boys!

Hot Air Balloon Festival

Sunday morning we got up before light and headed to Memorial Park in downtown CSprings. Texas Tourism had an exhibit that included a virtual kayak ride. The kids gave it a try.

As it got light the only balloon up was Wells Fargo.

The first two balloons inflated were Arky and The Bunny...b/c they are outrageously big.

The bunny is beginning to be cold-inflated.

The pilots got the "weather okay" and Arky ascended!

Others quickly followed suit.

Drew's favorite and my favorite.

Jack's favorite balloon/

Andy's favorite balloon...the blue one with the boy reaching for the stars.

Madi's favorite balloon ascending.

We watch Wipeout and the kids love the BIG BALLS. Jack is standing on the "big ball".

Random guy ona very high bike.

Giving Virtual Realty a try...

Granddad would be so proud...

Enjoying a chocolate cupcake. Prior to eating and wearing it he gave it a long sniff and said, "Mmmmmmm, yummy!"

Trying out walking barefoot on sand. He kept saying, "This feels good." But was reticent to actually walk anywhere.
